The love of the community of Harmony started early on for the Dumont family. Spotting the signage on his way back from a Banff trip, Gabriel stopped into the community in 2018 and knew immediately it was where he wanted his future family to establish roots. Returning in 2020 with his wife, Kuzi, and realizing it was a lake and golf community helped to solidify this choice.
“My husband brought me here in 2020, then again in 2021 when I was expecting a baby, and it just looked like an absolutely stunning community to raise a young one, so I love that we’re here.”
After taking possession of their home in the Summer of 2023, they quickly realized that Harmony was unlike any other communities they had visited in Calgary with its amenities. “Harmony has the golf course, lake/beach access, 25km of pathways, an easy commute to downtown, about 25 mins, and an easy commute on the weekends to go to the mountains and spend some time there.”

Working a hybrid model as a professional in downtown Calgary, Gabriel appreciated the beautiful sunset drives home facing the mountain, as well as the ability to wind down with friends at the Mickelson Clubhouse before heading home for some quality time biking around the community with Kuzi and their daughter Angelina.
Kuzi’s background is in finance as a CPA Chartered Accountant, but her real passion is real estate investing and coaching with her husband, which is why they love telling friends and family to invest in Harmony. “There’s so much opportunity here; they’re building the second lake and the Village Centre, which will have the Wellness Spa, and they get to use the amenities with us like the beach access and so much more.”
After meeting with the various builders in Harmony, they chose to work with Baywest Homes as they felt they were knowledgeable in what they had to offer, could customize their floor plan, and addressed any additional needs the family had. “I had so much confidence in Baywest Homes that we bought our second home in Harmony, and we’re looking forward to future transactions with them.”
The Dumont family chose to build the Teagan home model on a Sunshine Suite lot—a sweet spot between a walkout and level lot— which gave them the best of both worlds. They could also customize different aspects of the home to fit their needs, such as connecting the washer/dryer area to the walk-in closet and creating a spa-like ensuite bathroom with warm organic tones.

Not only in love with their home and all the current and upcoming amenities Harmony has to offer, the Dumonts also love how close-knit and unique the community is. “I love seeing the families here, just so many young children, so I felt like my baby would belong. How quiet and secure it seemed on the outside looking in, and now that we’re living here, we’re seeing it firsthand.”
