Approximately 25 km of community pathways will network through and around Harmony – enticing joggers, cyclists, dog walkers, leisurely strollers and active fitness buffs to hit the trails!
Pathways come both paved and unpaved, and an additional seven to nine km of separately planned Equestrian Trials are hallmarked for the perimeter of the community. Both path and equestrian trails strategically connect to the larger regional pathway system, including historic Old Banff Coach Trail, for riders, hikers, and cross country skiers who want to push the boundaries out into nature.
Points of interest to watch for along the paths will be Harmony’s Interpretive Centre stations (see Interpretive Centre) about the area’s natural and human history. Periodic “fitness stations” will encourage joggers to ante up the physical challenge with pull-ups, stair-climbing, or log jumping as part of their routines, while curated works of Public Art are worth a stop and a smile.
Leave the car at home and hit the cycler commuter lanes, planned for key roadways to make biking to work, the Village, or around the community safe, healthy, and appealing.
Learn, play, and feed the creative mind. There’s something new around every corner as you make your (path)way around Harmony.
